Claire Bernard
Claire spends her time helping to steward the world toward a better future, one focused on environmental responsibility and social justice. She’s traveled the world doing so as president of the Mariposa Foundation. Which I guess makes her cool or something. When Claire is not doing all that, she’s busy with her really important work: authoring the exploits of the handsome, dashing Pizza Pie Man!

PPM: What's your favorite pizza spot in NYC?
And now the Pizza Pie Man himself grills his author...
Screamer’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn.
PPM: What is your least favorite place in NYC?
Any place that doesn’t have vegan pizza.
PPM: That’s a lot of places. What do you think of Nino, by the way? Hate him, right?
Oh, I love him. I think we all wish we had a Nino in our lives.
PPM: Yuk. Thoughts on Penelope, the pigeon?
How could you think she wouldn't eat you?
PPM: That’s all your fault. You wrote it! What makes you think you’re qualified to write?
Over the years, I have written for publications like Vogue, Huffington Post, Maxim, Vice, Spin, and VanityFair.com, and I received an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia University.
PPM: Where are you from? And don't say New York City.
New York City.
PPM: On a scale from a thousand to a million, how many Pizza Pie Man books do you think you'll write?
A gazillion. Unless you're an epic failure, then I'll move on to all my other children's book characters.
PPM: But you won’t love any of them as much as you love me, right?
Of course not, Pizza Pie Man :)
