First, there were creepy carrots, then there was creepy underwear, and now crayons? What is with this saucy, young rabbit and sinister inanimate objects? Jasper, the said rabbit, struggles with schoolwork until he finds a perfect purple crayon. With this crayon doing all the work, everything starts going well for Jasper. His spelling and math are top-notch, and he excels without even trying. As always, though, there's a catch. The crayon starts doing literally everything for Jasper and takes over his life! He tries to get rid of the crayon, but the stick of wax won't leave! It's the opposite of me - nobody can get me to stay in one place - which means I find the book all the scarier! Even though you might want to turn your eyes away, the enchanting illustrations make it impossible. It's a spine-tingling tale for all to enjoy.
